| Oak is probably the most traditional wood used in furniture construction throughout history but it can be used in a modern envionment. It has a huge range of grain types and colours with dramatic features and the beautiful madullory rays. It also smells of vanilla when cut, like the wine that is matured in it and comes in wide boards of up to two feet. |
